People are always asking us, ‘what does a typical day look like?’. To be honest, it’s pretty rare for 2 days to be the same. Part of the beauty of working in missions (particular surf and skate missions) is that there’s always something different going on.
We normally operate Monday – Friday and have weekends off, but depending on different events this might occasionally change.
Nevertheless, we’ve done our best to give you a little sample of what you’ll be up to in your time with us…
Training Phase
6:00: Wake up early, time for a dawn surf
8:30: Chow down a big post-surf breakfast
9:00 – 9:45: Devotions and Daily Overview
10:00 – 11:00: First teaching session
11:10 – 12:00: Second teaching session
12:00 – 13:00: Lunch
13:00 – 15:00: Aleph Program (teaching disadvantaged kids to surf)
15:00 – Onwards: Free time!
Missions Phase
6:00: Like always…early surf!
8:30: And again…big breakfast
9:00 – 11:30: Connect with local Christian Surfers/Possible Outreach
12:00 – 13:00: Grab some lunch
13:00 – 15:00: Do some touristy activities (Table Mountain, Bungee Jumping, whatever!)
15:00 – 17:00: Setup for Outreach event
19:00 – 22:00: Movie Outreach/CS Club Evening
